BAFTA Awards: Nomadland domina l’edizione 2021, ecco i vincitori

Si è appena conclusa la cerimonia di premiazione degli annuali BAFTA Awards, ovvero i cosiddetti Oscar britannici assegnati dalla British Academy of Film and Television Arts ai migliori film del 2021.

Dopo l’assegnazione dei premi minori, questa sera la celebre Academy inglese ha incoronato Nomadland come film più titolato del 2021. La lanciatissima perla di Chloé Zhao si è assicurata il premio come Miglior Film, la Miglior Regia (ovviamente alla Zhao), la Miglior Fotografia (al direttore della fotografia Joshua James Richards) e la Miglior Interpretazione Femminile da Protagonista a Frances McDormand. Quello avvenuto ai BAFTA Awards rappresenta un vero e proprio plebiscito che non potrà che spingere Nomadland verso gli Oscar 2021 con ancora più possibilità di trionfo.

The Father ha raccolto due premi, ovvero quello ad Anthony Hopkins per la Miglior Interpretazione Maschile da Protagonista ed il premio alla Miglior Sceneggiatura Adattata. Promising Young Woman di Emerald Fennell ha vinto il premio come Miglior Film Britannico, nonchè quello relativo alla Miglior Sceneggiatura Originale. Soul della Pixar ha portato a casa il premio per il Miglior Film d’Animazione e la Miglior Colonna Sonora. Gli altri due premi attoriali sono andati a Daniel Kaluuya per Judas and the Black Messiah, ed a Yuh-Jung Youn per la sua interpretazione nel sorprendente Minari.
