Come da previsione, l’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha pubblicato la lunghissima lista di film internazionali in lizza per gli Oscar 2020.
L’Academy per l’edizione 2020 ha sostituito il nome della categoria da Miglior Film Straniero a Miglior Film Internazionale, presentando tra l’altro ben 93 pellicole selezionabili da ogni parte del mondo, tra cui Ghana, Nigeria e Uzbekistan per la prima volta in assoluto.
La scelta dei 10 film da inserire in nomination – uno in più rispetto allo scorso anno – verrà resa nota il prossimo 16 dicembre, con l’Italia che spera di ottenere la candidatura con Il Traditore di Marco Bellocchio.
